He will be remembered
at my old Motorcycle Club. Peter was a member of the South London Triumph Owners Motorcycle Club. I joined in 1976 which was when the original Star Wars was being filmed at Elstree. When filming was finished he turned up on a 350cc Triumph Twin. The bike looked so small when he sat on it.
His day job at the time was as a Porter at the Dorchester Hotel on Park Lane. Acting was a side line. Apparently George Lucas sat Peter when he stayed at the Hotel.
The success of the film meant that he was able to give up Portering.
