I have an interview Friday!
No point in counting chickens before they hatch, but past experience with interviews has been good for me so I have high hopes for this one. If things go well I may be employed again before the month is out, and in a job that (hopefully) will be easier on me than my last one, if admittedly still a stressful one. Still, it's a desk job, with part of my interview being a typing test which, hopefully, I can pass with flying colors :P
If I can land this job I already have a plan in place.
--Replace the front two tires on my car.
--Pay off the last 300 dollars I owe on said car.
--Replace the heater core and front shocks on the aforementioned car. (Lotsa car stuff.)
--Begin building a new computer rig to replace the Smoldering Hulk. I have already found it a new home once I can afford to replace it: until then it is serving as a laptop stand.
All of this while STILL working to get some books written to sell.
So please, wish me luck. I don't WANT another job, necessarily, but if I've gotta have one it might as well be one where I sit at a desk typing and fielding phone calls all day, right?

That I am proud of you.
But second, let me say that my offer of noting you to PA still stands Hon. You let me know when you’re ready, and we’ll make it happen. With your experience, I could probably get you a job as well - but I’m sure you would probably rather do that on your own.

One day, sis, in the hopefully not-too-distant future.
Once I've got a steady if small income that isn't dependent on regular work. That way I can go crazy and have the whole irresponsible misled youth I never actually had in my early 20s! Going to renfaires, entering illicit robot fighting tournaments, buying a Vespa . . . .
That's the kinda stuff crazy youth do right?

Buying Vespa????
Oh those were the days. I had one for a very brief period circa 1972. Couldn't get on with the small wheels after a proper motorcycle (BSA B44) so I sold it and bought a 1969 Triumph Bonnieville. Been riding Triumphs ever since. :)
My Barber is a Vespa fan. He has a modern 4-stroke model and an Electric one on order.
If you do get one, don't forget the parka with a large roundel on the back with the words 'The Who' written in black as well... :)
And the multitude of mirrors. Te-he.
Even if you had one like that I'd go out for a ride with you.
