I would say that everything discussed are minor reasons.
In about any movie you could find controversy. Even if a movie completely and totally avoids any controversy - it is still a controversy in itself as it could not happen in the real life.
What I saw in the trailers and clips available... is just another attempt to do tarkovskyism based on the TG issues.
And it is just plain BORING to watch. Every time I have to watch such a movie I can't get rid of a feeling that director and editor fell asleep somewhere in the middle of the editing and second half just never makes any sense.
It's very fetishized filming.
A lot of crotch shorts and near hypersexualizing a trans minor. IMO it's not a good narrative for trans people, trans women and especially trans youth.

Too dangerous to watch
Remember that you cannot unsee something you watched. Or read. BCTS has warning tags to help with that. Back jacket blurbs on books help too. Still so much of what is out there is consumer beware. Reviews and discussions like this are a good try too.
