I know I've left a few story ideas hanging out there. Marti and the Doppelganger left several unanswered questions. I will get around to answering them one of these days. I sometimes work myself to sleep thinking where the story should go. So far, I've not gone much beyond the first chapter, and that's in my head. When I do get it straightened out, I think there will be only one more story in the Cynthia Chronicle, and that will be an expansion and development of a previous add on. This line can't go much further without being repetitive. There have been some unanswered sub-plots, and I'll try to fix them, but basically, The Cynthia Chronicles are about done. They became everything I wanted them to become. I am very pleased with how the stories turned out. I may see about publishing them in the real world, on my own, under my real name. That would mean un-publishing them as they are currently presented.

One can take a story line only so far. The nine novels in "A California Saga" was just right. It shouldn't have been drawn out any further. I have followed some serials here, and finally gave up on them because they stopped being interesting, they just repeated the same thing over and over, It's like a stuck needle on an old record, nothing changes. One can carry an idea only so far. Angharad is one of only a very few who can carry it off.

I'll try my best to draw The Cynthia Chronicles to a satisfactory conclusion. I know what I want to do, but I will not make any promises. If I manage to come up with an idea, I'll do my best to create a satisfactory adventure. I was very pleased with how "Mike and Ashley," "Discovery," "Anita," "Scott Free," and a couple of other stories turned out, although they were loosely based on other series.

I am 76 in less than two weeks, and other than a few hiccups, things have been going pretty well. I work pretty much full time as a consultant. Refer to "Adam and the Three Wishes" to get an idea of what I do. I retired from the Air Force 30 years ago, don't really miss it. Although I seem to dream every once in a while about being back in. It's not too bad. The worse dreams are about being back in school, not going to classes, then showing up for finals not knowing a damn thing.

"A California Saga", first published here, is now in eBook and paperback. I'm working harder on getting the books out there, so I might actually make real money. I should probably hire an agent, but most don't seem to be receptive. I've been trying some new tactics of late, and we'll have to see how they work out.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I will be out there, but probably not too active. I'm in the midst of a major edit of a story that appeared here a few years ago. It's a wonderful story as is the other one by this author. I hope they succeed.

Time for bed.

Not to jinx things

I wont say anything about birthdays yet, Portia, but I am happy for you to be so alive and kicking still. Retirement is not for all, for some it is a death trap. I simply cannot imagine myself ever stopping to engage myself for improvements to our lifestyle (as in using more renewable energy in a safe and sensible way), neither will I ever stop creating things (stories are just one part of that).
"Wer rasted der rosted." is an old German proverb, the meaning is if you rest too much you start "rusting" (deteriorating). I think that applies to a lot of us even at an advanced age.

Hugs,
Monique.
