yes after the last week's cold and snow this week has turned to slightly less obscene weather! Having said that, my ride yesterday in the Peak District (bit of a misnomer as there are only a couple of actual 'peaks') did include negotiating a few snow drifts although there was a lot of localised flooding too - at least the ambient temperature was above 0c!
I will be cracking on with the writing this week, the plan is to have another Gabysode and possibly the new Nena out before Easter - well providing RL doesn't get in the way!
And talking about RL, I've got a busy weekend ahead of me - some DIY related to the big kitchen pack up on Friday and of course a continuation of the seemingly endless actual packing up - I really will have to go through a lot of this stuff more ruthlessly after the works been done - at least I won't be on such a time table at that point.
Then on Sunday the postponed trip to see #1 in Leeds and deliver the nursery furniture - the bill was less than it could've been, like weddings, some of the purveyors really take the Mickey with prices and a lot of new parents clearly fall for it - or they go to IKEA!. Hopefully it'll not be me doing the building, Dad to be is quite keen on DIY so i'll let him do that bit! The big day is only @ six weeks away - where did the time go? The problem now is that I want to buy everything, train sets, Lego, all those clothes and stuff, I guess most new grand parents are the same, its difficult to stand back and not plan to spoil the child rotten, a few soft toys are okay though, right?
Because I'm out of town (well city actually), there won't be a Sunday update this week, sorry bout that, at some point I will get a home internet connection!
Anyhow, enough about babies, well almost, the next Gaby chapter does mention a baby but the main thrust of The Size Of It is related to the Wunderkind herself.
