For posting this for us! I had tears in my eyes after reading the first transcript about the child undergoing 'traditional' treatment. Can't say more right now because it might be something I'll regret later. Thanks again for keeping us up to date.!

My youngest son (just turned seven) says that he is a girl or wants to be a girl. My wife would like to stick her head in the sand on this one, but she will probably be supportive (I hope!)
Meanwhile, I'm collecting as much information as possible, and searching for the best articles and stories for her to read so that she can get a good picture of what TG kids go through both with and without parental support.
I have already pledged to do my very best to love and support the kids -- no matter what choices they make (assuming they have thought them out. LOL) If Gabriel wants to be Gabriella, I'll help him/her though that rocky road.
Meanwhile, we have enough on our plate with an asperger's child, and two others that may have the same thing (and one might have tourette's)
I have been enjoying the stories posted on this and other sites, but this latest development gives me a good excuse for doing lots of 'research.' (That's my story and I'm sticking to it.)
Soon, though, I plan on posting a few of my own, probably starting with some of the stories that I have already posted on the MORFS sites.
So thanks again, Pippa! And thanks to everyone who has written the stories that make TC/BC such a wonderful site.
By the way, my wife Mary is an RN/BSN and has done considerable child development work. She has been a great help with the kids' issues in the past, and I expect her to do as well with this latest potential issue.

You have a journey in front of you. Hopefully your wife can agree to blocking the hormones that can be so distructive to a child. I too have a son with touettes, and fortunately, it isn't severe. The same son came out to my wife and I that he was gay, when he was fifteen. He won the Homecoming King award at his school when he was a senior, go figure. Yes he was openly gay.
