I’ve been trying, unsuccessfully, to keep the story going but after a month+ I just cant. I’m going to let the story stand where it is, on a positive note. I originally had a lot more I wanted to write, but after getting to care about the characters I just cant finish it... My muse just refused to cooperate anymore... I might return to it in the future, but honestly right now I don’t know... So for now it stands as it is.

On another note, while I was trying to force myself to continue, my muse came up with a new idea. Now that I’m not worrying about continuing the older story I’ve been able to focus on the new one. I’m currently on the third chapter, and will hopefully get the 1st one up in a few days. I’m trying to write something outside of my comfort zone, while I love fantasy stories until now I’ve never tried to write one.

To those that enjoyed Reconnecting the Past, I do sincerely thank you for your kind comments, and I again apologize for not being able to continue it.

It is not unusual

to get to a point where you feel blocked. Many of us have been there sometimes more than once.
I have a series that I've been working on for at least two years. Two parts of it have been published but I always thought that there was a lot more to come.
Gradually, it has come out but not without many dead ends. The 'DNU' (do not use) subfolder for this story has at least twice as many dead ends than I've completed. It sucks writing 10K words only to scrap it as I does not fit the overall story as I see it now.

Take your time and I'm sure your muse in respect to this story will come back.
Samantha

Thanks

for the update Becca and understand why you have ended this part of Reconnecting the Past where Sarah and her parents accept they have all been hurt and its time for Love and understanding to give them strength.

Looking forward to reading the new story that takes you out of your comfort zone

Love and hugs
Sam
