OK - time to reconnect, albeit slightly.

Yes, the next Julina is 'ready' - but not polished. It is currently sitting at 25,679 words and will probably end up being close to 30k by the time I polish...

Penny will help me decide how to break it all up. As the author, I find the 'parts' of it too short to be posted alone, but too integrated to just split at natural narrative gaps. The big crescendo to which it is building might be diluted if it takes a few chapters to get there.

These - and many other thoughts - have been racing through what passes for a brain sitting atop my spine.

But I do need to explain why I have been so silent over the summer, so here goes:

I am moving house, splitting my time between my UK address (about 10 days a month) and the Swiss address. Final move to the UK shall be around Easter next year. in London.
I have purchased a new car, a new bed, a new mattress, a new computer desk, a new dining table and chairs and so on and so forth. Only one speeding ticket with the new car so far. The car trip between teh addresses is around 650 miles each way.

Health-wise I have been rough. I have been diagnosed as pre-diabetic, I have frequent ocular migraines and gout attacks, and I suffer with muscular strains and tears as I try to do this removal stuff at my advanced age. Right now, my right shoulder is a mess with tendonitis and muscle tears. It has been for the past month. I live on painkillers. My right arm SHOULD be in a sling, but that just makes everything into a dot-and-carry marathon. I can find no comfortable position for sleeping, so live on two, or - if lucky - three hour long snooze sessions.

Not all is doom and gloom however. I had a nice Chinese meal last week with the wonderful 'Cyclist' and I have visited some of the art musea and galleries in London. I have a well-stocked wine cellar that the doctor has told me I must slow down consuming. I have even sold some of it to contribute to Erin and this site. I just hope that the other sites she et al manage are not receiving too great a proportion!

My major problem, though, is Julina and the next post.

Milsy is currently running some six months or so behind where Julina is at. So I have to liaise tightly with Penny about by whom, when and where inventions and advancements are made. I reckon that we need two or so more Milsy posts before it would be fair for me to show some of those developments. But this is an ongoing discussion between Penny and I. She herself has had many distractions as she said. But I can assure you there is more Julina in the pipeline, and really very close to posting if the decision is taken to chop it up ...

Ok, time for a painkiller, to put my right arm back into its sling and to pour another glass of wine.

All the very best

Joolz
