2 lost this year in star wars

Proud member of the Whateley Academy Drow clan/collective

Is dropping lilke flies, Richard Adams, author of Watership Down has died today as well.
Maybe they can't face a future with large doses of stupidity ruling their lives.
And there's still four days of the year left.

All i have to say is Go To HELL 2016
That is all i have to say about 2016, we have lost a lot of people off this site and many other great people this year.
Who are we going to loose next.
"Cortana is watching you!"
Sadly the likely cause is exacerated by substance abuse
Cocaine is known to weaken/damage the heart and who knows what her dietary habits are.
We in the trans community are highly at risk for substance abuse. Take care of yourselves,
Such a waste
They showed a picture of her from her last public appearance, she was hanging on to some guy's arm and looked like hell. Her death after that heart attack doesn't surprise me. I'm more than a few years older than her and even with my bypass surgery and the removal of a benign brain tumor I look better than she did.
A life of drugs and booze are a shortcut to a coffin, too many people die too young having wasted their lives. Kimmie makes a good point, we are susceptible to depression and more inclined to self medicate rather than expose ourselves to others.
As the sergeant on "Hill Street Blues" always told the officers starting their shift, "Hey! You be careful out there!"
"Life is not measured by the breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.”

Carrie Fisher wrote her own obituary
This is a story reported in several places, I've excerpted it here from two of them: While discussing the white dress she wore throughout the first Star Wars film, Fisher recalled, "George [Lucas] comes up to me the first day of filming and he takes one look at the dress and says, 'You can't wear a bra under that dress... because there is no underwear in space.'"
"I promise you this is true, and he says it with such conviction too!" she continued. "Like he had been to space and looked around and he didn't see any bras or panties or briefs anywhere."
According to Fisher, Lucas' logic was: "So, what happens if you go to space and you become weightless. So far so good, right? But then your body expands??? But your bra doesn't -- so you get strangled by your own bra."
"Now I think that this would make for a fantastic obit -- so I tell my younger friends that no matter how I go, I want it reported that I drowned in moonlight, strangled by my own bra," she wrote.
And so, respecting her wishes, we report here that Carrie Fisher, beloved actor, icon to a generation, accomplished author, died as many of us hope to go ourselves; she drowned in moonlight, strangled by her own bra.
Thanks, Carrie, for the smiles and tears, for getting your revenge, for fighting back, for showing us a new hope. You'll always be our favorite smart-mouth princess.
Hugs from a fan,
Erin

NY Times
The Times asked readers who had ever dressed up as the Princess Leia to send their stories. Some here might have such stories, but that perhaps they wouldn't want published there.
