Hi all

Well first I have to tell you that there won't be an update on Sunday - I'm off to the mountains of Essex for my last cycling event of the season, the L'Etape London, 180km of well I doubt it'll be to bad unless it rains! Anyhow, as a result I won't be near a proper internet connection until next Wednesday when of course there will be a new chapter posted.

So to today, there is a new chapter which you can get to here, don't forget to click the kudos button and I'm sure a comment or two would be nice.

For now
Tschussie!

Ooooh Essex

My neck of the woods Maddy, any idea what time you'll hit Chelmsford? I might be able to give you a cheer.

My knowledge of Essex geography is pretty poor I have to admit - I know where Stansted is and that's about it!

The beginning.

I remember your stories and it was several years ago that I first began to read them. They began with his being thought to be female whilst on a bike ride is all I can remember. In the meanwhile real life got in the way and things have developed considerably in the ensuing years. Can you tell me which stories were first? I would like to begin again from the beginning.

the Gaby series

Started way back in 2004, it was my first publicly released work although I'd written a chunk of stuff before. If you go to Maddybell.com you can read all the Gaby series plus side stories, fanfiction and much more in one place. Of course the last few cycles aren't yet available for free but hopefully i'll have the website working properly again soon.

Mountains in Essex?

Seen bigger molehills than down south, was to be stationed at Bishop Stortford for a couple of months. Come over to Greenfield just down the Rd from Holmfirth we got a whole lot of hills bigger that the South of England has, We get more that a few ardent cyclists from the Midlands to the south coast staying at sunny Well-I-hole during the summer blocking the roads due to the majority of them failing to stick to traffic regs. Who knows you might even see BC training as they frequently do in the area. Just bring your tent I will even give you a discount for the campsite. We are a TG friendly site

thanks

I live in Sheffield so i'm no stranger to. The Pennines and Holme Moss - and i've just returned from the Alps. I actually live higher than the highest point reached on Sunday by some 75m! Weather looks ok so I should tootle round in about 5 hours - don't hold me to that tho! Lol

I hope the weather is kind. I didn't see any Essex mountains either, though the warm weather and heavy loaded miles made Wrabness seem steep enough. You'll be in Greene King country then - Their IPA is very pleasant.

Saddleworth, hm? Not been there yet, apart from the nearby motorways. An expedition for the future perhaps.
