I have dream, to help me cope with anything and to help me through reality!
This last week, while trying to work through an examination questionaire for my law degree, I hade an incapacitating PTSD episode. Once I became aware of that fact, and I had identified the trigger, I scheduled a session with my counselor for the next morning. On waking up the next morning I had the german version of the 1967 Eurovision Song contest winner by Sandie Shaw Wie ein Wiedehopf im Mai stuck on a loop in my head. And here is the original english version Puppet On A String.
Today while working through more exam questions, I have been playing a lot of Richard Clayderman music. When the ABBA cover of "I have a dream" started playing, tears just started streaming down my face. The classical I Have A Dream could very well be an anthem for many of us. It is definitely that for me:
I have a dream, a song to sing
To help me cope with anything
If you see the wonder of a fairy tale
You can take the future even if you fail
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I'll cross the stream - I have a dream
I have a dream, a fantasy
To help me through reality
And my destination makes it worth the while
Pushing through the darkness still another mile
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I'll cross the stream - I have a dream
I'll cross the stream - I have a dream
I have a dream, a song to sing
To help me cope with anything
If you see the wonder of a fairy tale
You can take the future even if you fail
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I'll cross the stream - I have a dream
I'll cross the stream - I have a dream
As the song says: I have dream, to help me cope with anything and to help me through reality!
Have a good week everyone.

I've been trying to get the song of the same title from 'Tangled' out of my head. :P.

Between the wrinkles, the orthopedic shoes, and nine decades of gravity, it is really hard to be alluring. My icon, you ask? It is the last picture I allowed to escape the camera ... back before most BC authors were born.
