Saw this one the other day, which made me smile.
The author (one of those that strikes me as being one who seems to try to use big words a bit too often in order to be impressive, without necessarily understanding the required word) wanted to write 'commensurate'.
As in something like: "The starting salary will be commensurate with age and experience."
Unfortunately, (s)he chose to write, using the above example: "The starting salary will be commiserate with age and experience."
I suppose you could say I feel sorry for him/her - *grins*.

With salaries being so stagnant in the US, that is more the reality then fiction!

Salaries are known to be affectionate :-)
They are known to often commiserate with experience. And they always commiserate with age...
(And, BTW, linking salary with age of the candidate is illegal, AFAIK, in most states and in all of the EU countries...)
Auto-correct Text to Speech
My wife is unable to speak so uses a program which converts text to speech. Her brother's name is Colin, but the program converts it to colon. While he used to be at the end of the dietary tract, he has gotten much better with age. LOL

Is that it will correct the slang or dialectical for gum boots from wellies to willies. This could put an entirely different context on the plot line especially if the heroine was to reach for her partner's welly.
