For anyone who knew of my multiple failed attempts to make it to the UK to marry my sweetheart Abby, I have arrived! I got in last evening and we drove to Sheffield after a lovely dinner in Manchester. Needless to say it's a tad bit colder here than where I'm from. It was 107 degrees Fahrenheit when I left Phoenix Arizona USA. I'd love meet a few of the crowd of BC if possible while here.8 weeks of chilly old England.

And well done on getting over here. Sheffield's bit of altitude can make it a little chillier than where I live by the East coast. I hope you can enjoy a bit of the early autumn sunshine and see some of the green hills and moorlands while you are there. Steep cycling country though :)

Not a bike rider much

When I was younger, seems like a long time ago now, I rode a fair amount but not anymore. My last bicycle was stolen and I've never replaced it.

Where in the east do you live? We have lots of time and would love to see that side of your island, lol. We drove into the moors today a bit and took some pictures. Abby just bought me an awesome new camera. Ta!

The other side of Hull, Dahlia. Usually people say "but isn't that in the sea?" Well, not yet, though coastal erosion is a continuing problem. Our area is pleasant farmland but not scenic. Ok, flat and boring is the normal wording. But not bad to cycle round. The city has a bridge to look at. Er, oh yes, and The Deep if you enjoy seeing undersea life. Must go again some time. The best scenery is a few miles North-West on the Yorkshire Wolds. The City does have some history, but doesn't wear it on its face or have the attraction of York - there's a place definitely worth visiting if you like historic stuff and get the chance.
