I'm sure this is a good thing
and will keep the profile of violence against transgender people in the public awareness. However, I consider myself female and the violence to women all over the globe is possibly worse. At least one woman a week dies in the UK because of violence. The truth is, we need to educate people that violence is unacceptable full stop.

Violence Is Violence Is Violence
The problem of violence against transsexuals is violence. The problem of violence against women is violence. The problem of violence against Afro Americans is violence. The alleged atrocities by the ISIS and the war between Israel and Hamas are just parts of the problem. Rarely is violence justified. The only time I can think that violence may be justified is some form of defense.
