This is awful. The other day I read a story that I believe was reasonably short, or perhaps it is just a chapter of it? It was just wonderfully romantic, and I left a comment to the effect.

Yesterday, I got a PM from Nick B saying thank you for the nice comment, but he was confused as to what story I was commenting on. Well, for the life of me, I can not remember.

Now, I am wondering if I replied to another author's comments about someone else's story. Maybe it was a comment on a comment or something like that. This is really embarrassing because I just know that my "blondness goes "clear to my roots"" and now it is totally revealed to everyone here !

How do I get into these situations?

Alas, I am completely undone. Can anyone figure this out?

this girl would be most grateful.

This Is Probably A Useless Comment

...but it's the best I can come up with on the spur of the moment.

If you click on "your account" and then click on the "track" tab, you can find pretty much anything you've written, including comments. I took a quick look through a few pages of it, and I don't see you having commented on any actual stories posted by Nick. On the other hand, the posted by column is literally that. If one person posted a story written by another, it's listed there under the posting person's name, not the actual author's.

I don't know how you would find it, other than search through every single item listed in that list that isn't a story you posted yourself, at least back through the time frame in question. Looks like a needle in a haystack kind of situation.
