Who’s ready for a contest?

We’re partnering with The Breast Form Store and their friends All About CD to bring you an extra special September story challenge:

The TBFS Caption Story Contest!

Some of the girls at AACD have been kind enough to donate a few of their favorite pics to us, and the challenge for you, dear authors, is simple:

--Pick your favorite image from among the ones available

--Write a short story (500-3500 words) about the girl in the picture. Stories must stand on their own (not part of an existing universe, etc.), though if you would like to expand on them after the contest has concluded, that is fine

--Stories should ideally be no higher than a soft R rating, with all other normal content guidelines applying

Here are the images you can choose from: (Replace the () with the appropriate Brackets for usage!)

And what of the prizes, you ask? Our friends at The Breast Form Store are offering store credit coupons, 150 USD for our top place and 75 for second!

Entries will be allowed from 1 September 2024 until 21 September 2024, and should be tagged with the “2024-9 September AACD Caption Story Contest.”

We’re looking forward to seeing what you can do, and once again, a big thanks to our partners at The Breast Form Store and the ladies at All About CD for their generous sponsorships.

I got an idea

but with packing for the move, it might not be ready in time.

Redemption

Daphne Xu's picture

Are the coupons redeemable for cash to BCTS?

EDIT: The actual filename of one picture is Jess_Kelly_5.jpg. Once I noticed the discrepancy, I checked. I do not want Jess_Kelly_1.jpg.

The coupons cannot be changed for cash.

This competition is being sponsored by The Breast Form Store in conjunction with AllAboutCD. We are promoting and hosting the contest, but they are providing the materials for it :)

I've fixed the image file name. Thank you for pointing that out. I'd had both JK1 and JK5 in the list. I'm not sure why 1 has disappeared: I'll check later.

Please Thank the Breast Form Store

The Breast Form Store has been a financial pillar for BC for many years. They are as much a part of BC as Chevy was a part of The Dinah Shore Show. (Yes, "completer" is a word, even though it sounds wonky in her theme song.)

BFS has been a great partner who has evidently benefitted from the relationship.

The contest woke my muse. I've completed my story and will submit it as soon as entries are allowed -- on September 1st.

No DEI?

I notice that all the pictures of women in their late teens or twenties, and in more or less sexy poses.

I'm sure that a lot of your readers like to fantasize about looking like that, but what about those of us who dream of being cute grannies baking cookies with grandchildren or cuddling grandbabies?

(For that matter, they're all white, and non are visibly disabled. I can imagine some really cool tales about disabled trans people -- actually, Ricky has written a few.)

These pictures were shared with us by the users of AACD

And we have one picture representing each of the ladies who donated to us.

Stories that feature a lot of diversity are always welcome here, and it's something we do want to promote. The limitations you note on this contest are coincidental only.

That said... who's to say that you couldn't write a story about one of these girls being differently abled? Or a story in which the picture featured is the character when they were younger?

I'd love to see all the character types you suggest above in stories :)
