The good weather rolled over into Monday, Aunty Bev and i set off to visit Angharad down near the south coast and it all started out well. Instead of the usual direct but often twisty route across the Mendip then through very rural Dorset we thought we'd try a longer route on better roads which went well for the first part. Then we missed a turn and to get back on track ended up on some tiny, very twisty roads tracking the River Parrett, everything we had gained was soon lost and more. Already thirty minutes later than expected, in the last five miles the car decided to go into 'safe' mode, that distance was done at @ 20mph!

A quick garage visit 'fixed' things and the rest of the day was enjoyable and we used our usual route to get back, maybe its not so slow afterall. Yes, Angharad and her cats are all well, we had a good chinwag, a hearty lunch in town and all is well in Dorsetshire.

The Tuesday forecast was a bit cooler, after the travel inactivity of Monday i wasn't feeling like anything too physical so i headed out for one of my Clevedon burger runs. The sun was out but a stiff breeze kept the temperature below 20c which tempted me to a slightly longer than anticipated return past the Blagdon and Chew reservoirs to Bath before a last run along the bike trail. 101km in total with under 700m of up, nothing too testing which suited my legs just fine!

Today its damp, the wet arrived last night and whilst not cold we are expecting wet most of the day. I will go for a walk and i want to plant up the first lot of tomato plants but at least i can do that in the 'greenhouse'. I hope to have a writing connected project completed by the weekend, so look out for news of that on Sunday, Patreon supporters will see something a bit sooner!
