quite Spring-like atm, blossom on the trees, a splash of colour in the hedgerows and lo, what is that yellow thing in the sky?
Well that doesn't mean the weather is great, Monday was quite damp, but the winds are less so it at least feels a bit warmer even if its still struggling to get to double figures! Monday was a bit of a non event tbh, i did do the bike fettling that i needed to do but very little else if i'm honest. Well i did do some planning stuff for my June bike camping trip but that was hardly taxing. On top of that, my back has been playing up, a touch of sciatica and general discomfort brought on, i think, by the gardening the other day.
Yesterday i set out with an idea for the ride but with a sore back it was nothing too exciting with plenty of short cuts available! So it was a mucky burger at Clevedon then a wibbly route across to Bath, i even found a couple of new to me stretches of road/byway which cheered me up a bit. It ended up at 106km with nearly 900m of up, the biggest ride i've done in a month, i really need to turn up the efforts a bit now - i've no excuse, i have two fully working bikes, no physical issues, like the writing, i just need to get my head in order!
Today, well i've been to the Swedish store for some lunch, grabbed some yellow stickers in Marks & Sparks and added 7.5km to the month's walking total. Its still barely making 10c but the sun is out, i coped with a thick cardi rather than needing a coat so that's progress right? Next up its cooking the 'Bolognese' for tonights tea.
I have an idea for tomorrows ride, something to test the legs maybe?
That's all for now, i'll be back with a Gaby chapter at the weekend,
Tschuss!
