Or 'what i did Easter week'.
In summary, not a lot so far. On Monday i ended up going for a bit of a walk, with limited funds at my disposal and the bike hanging forlornly waiting for a tyre, it did at least get me out for a couple of hours. It was a variation of the Frome valley walk, punctuayed by tea and a bacon sarnie at Snuff Mills. The big news for Monday was that they operated on Dad's leg, all went well and the doc's expect a 'full' recovery in fairly short order. There was no point in me travelling up ahead of plan - its not like i could do more than offer sympathy which i can do from here.
Tuesday - well the expected tyre delivery was delayed again - they sent it thirty miles away for some reason so no chance of a ride. On the plus side, after the double Bank Holiday, the funds which were sent to my account on Friday finally cleared - quite a scam by the bank, they must've earn't millions sitting on everyones money for 4 days. I'd previously researched everything i need to rebuild my 'proper' touring bike, even so it took a while to get it all ordered - sounds worse than it is but its mostly little bits that have been lost or damaged. Another session saw my travel up to GOC next week booked - i'm quite looking forward to our multi generational little excursion!
The wandering tyre eventually turned up this morning, it was but a five minute job to install, inflate and refit the wheel into Foxy, yay! Since then i've walked into Brizz, i needed some supplies for my modelling and wanted to check out some other stuff, another longish pied a terre.
Things are sort of looking up as we head into the weekend, weather permitting i'll be out riding tomorrow, i fancy a mucky burger at Clevedon and Sundays roast will be revisited when i get back. I'll get back into the garden too, stuff needs planting out, more needs to be started off, even the cherry blossom is starting!
I'll be back at the weekend,
but for now,
Byeeee!
