I'm sick. It appears to be a simple cold, but it's been with me for five days. I'm going to try to get in to see a doctor today or, at least, get a covid test.

Things may be delayed around here for a bit.

My father used to say

If you doctor a cold, you can get rid of it in 14 days; if you don't it will last a full two weeks.

I'm not a doctor. I only played one as a child but it's likely to be a seasonal cold. Drink plenty of fluids and rest, rest, rest.

Health Update

After a hearty breakfast and a trip to Walgreens, both of us have taken COVID tests, and both came out negative.

I'm gonna be keeping an eye on our resident Erin for the next couple of days, but a few things we'd hoped to get out -- like a couple of books -- may continue to be delayed due to health.

We apologize for this, folks.

That said, we've probably got a big announcement coming next week, so keep your fingers crossed for it all.

There is something going around here in the south central US. Kind of a cross between a cold, sinus infection, and bronchitis. Not really bad, but lingers for a couple of weeks longer than a normal cold. All in all, a PITA!

Just in case you are using over-the-counter stuff for symptom relief, please check for diphenhydramine. It's not recommended for seniors (*raising hand*). Wikipedia has details.

I recently, and not for the first time, gave my doctor a list of all the medications I take. I take one Diphenhydramine pill daily for allergies. I've tried most if not all of the so-called third generation antihistamines and found them ineffective. She didn't bat an eye. I'm 75, too.
