Made it home

I made it home. That might not have been in my best interest but it was the only option I had left open to me. I had to work, even though I am in no shape to work. It was foolish and dangerous and I'm glad no one got killed.

The leg is still infected and swollen. It looks a little better but that's not saying a lot. It's not as red, but it still hurts like hell. Ever play dig dug? When he puts the pump into a monster. Picture that happening to my left foot. To think I was upset when I couldn't find shoes before.

Right now I'm going to take a cocktail of antibiotics, pain meds, flomax and something for a cough. I hope it knocks me out. The hospital is not the place to be when you want to sleep. Bastards don't know when to leave you alone and the bed was annoying. It moved. That's creepy.

So, Unreachable 2 is delayed (again) because I can't write when I'm like this. I might sneak some time on the biography. See you in 8 to 12 hours (I hope).

Having spent two weeks in the hospital...

Recently myself, I agree. They will not let you sleep. They had me on three different antibiotics, which played holy hell with my kidneys. I hope you heal quickly!

~And so it goes...

Glad you are home!

Even though you are home now and able to sleep in your own bed, PLEASE, take care of yourself! Given that there are at least a few miles between us the best I can send to you is a big electronic HUG! Here is to you feeling better real soon.

Lots of hugs

GO TO THE HOSPITAL NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

KT you must go to the hospital as quick as you can. If you don't you may loose your leg OR MAYBE YOU LIFE!

I lost toes and almost a leg because I waited. MY maternal grandfather died of an infection in his leg that became gangrene.

DO NOT DELAY!

Katie,

An infection is NOT something you want to wait on to clear up by itself especially when one is already beat up physically and mentally. Didn't your parents and grandparents teach you about treating things that go wrong? We were taking care of and treating livestock of all kinds. A doctor or vet was a last resort.

Hon, I have no idea what kind of infection you might have without touching you and smelling you so my advice is thinking to myself what if?

Warm water and Epsom salts. Careful here as this will speed up the blood circulation in the infected area. Which means your whole body will have to fight it.

DMSO and Epsom salts in body temp water. one hour or more soak first day, second day one hour twice a day. Careful here. You are killing whatever it is. You do it too fast too quickly and all that dead virus, bacteria spreads through your body. You will go into toxic shock from too much poison being released all at once, depending on how bad the infection is.

Take MSM, potassium, calcium, multi vitamins, vitamin C, multi vitamin D series, and coconut oil pills. Your body will be flushing a lot of necessary essentials, including electrolytes. as it fights with the infections. You must replace them.

You can take 2 tylenol and 2 excedrin every 4 hours at the same time to keep the fever down. Lay off the tylenol after the third day. It has the potential to damage your kidneys.

Katie welcome home and I hope your foot gets better soon. I love your writing and can't wait for more of it.

Please take care!

Katie,

Please, please take care of yourself! As the comments before say, infection is not to be treated lightly but also there's the reality of medical expenses; you're really trapped and my heart goes out to you.

Maybe it's my sick humor, but I thought it ironic that, with your foot pain, you're having trouble walking at the same time that you're really hitting your stride as a writer!
