I was just wondering...
I know authors can see Kudos and Hits.
Is there a way they can see how many have tagged a story as a favorite?

Sort of?
Any user can view another user's profile and see that user' marked favorites, even comment and posting history. They are available as much for other users to get a sense of who you are as they are for your own convenience.
So, while you don't get notified when one is added like that -- though admittedly that would be nice -- you can still see what any user has added.if you're interested.

Yeah well...
I kind of was guessing that, or at least knew that part. If you look at each user and go through all their favorites, you can find out, it is not hidden since favorites are public. But is no way easy to find out in any over all meaningful way, accept for happening to come across individual info that someone had marked a story as a favorite. I just thought the extra info might be interesting.
I still have ehough spare wetware memory capacity...
So I have not used "favorites" yet. And as for people who filed a story as a favorite it could have been because it was boring but promising ( ;-) ) so they would be able to find it in their spare time :-)
