Advice request for writing an Aunt Jane's Seasons House story

Hi everyone! I was just hoping for some feedback on adding a story to Aunt Jane's Season's House universe.

After a bit of deliberation, I decided to try reading Joel Lawrence's "Seasons of Change". Although there were parts of the story I didn't find comfortable, I plot and characters still drew me in. Feeling just a bit unsure how exactly I felt about about the story, I decided to try reading Tigger's A Second Season, which appears to be a continuation of Joel's story. After reading that, I felt I could better understand the motives of Aunt Jane, as well as some of the others, and decided this was a lot different than I had been expecting.

I've read eight of Tigger's stories about Aunt Jane's Seasons House, and I'm starting to get the germ of an idea for my own story. One of the big problems I have is I don't know how to contact the original creator of this world, Joel Lawrence. Does anyone happen to have his e-mail address? I hope he's still available so I can get permission to contribute to this unique universe.

If I manage to get permission, the next big issue would be trying to make sure what I write dovetails neatly with (or at least doesn't blatantly contradict) what others have written. I've been thinking of writing about Aunt Jane's early years while she was a teacher at Eastmore. Has there been any stories written in this setting before she moved into the mansion? Have the names of any of her students there been established? Is there a list of Aunt Jane's student names?

Are there any other suggestions or advice anyone would like to offer about writing a story in this universe?

Joel Lawrence ceded his creation to Tigger, or something like that. Tigger doesn't post here but sometimes comes by to read.

Ellen wrote a humorous seasons story with Tuck in it but it wasn't using exactly the same situations and characters. And this was well after Tigger had written several seasons stories. Ellen's help would likely be of the form, "Go ask Tigger."

Season of change Series...

I am currently somewhere in the middle of one of those stories.... Search: Tales of the Season: Charlene's Story
I am currently working on Chapter 20. This particular story has taken on a life of it's own and is hard to get down in a coherent manner that still follows some sort of logic. I'm struggling with getting everything in with the proper order and influences right now. But every week it gets a little closer to being done.
I am writing about a couple characters used by Ellen Hayes, so I requested her permission to do a little plagiarizing when appropriate. (Surprising, but at the time she didn't mind as long as I credited her as the author.)
When I asked tigger about writing a story, he said 'go for it!'.
I do not believe there are any listings of students from Jane Thompson's 'Eastmore' days. As you noticed the entire series starts after she has left there and is only referred to in the past tense.
I would say, go ahead and write the story! I mean it's like writing episodes 1-3 of Star Wars! That was done well after episode 4 (the original Star wars) You just have to keep in mind that it will lead toward the creation of 'thompson Academy' in your character's future.

On the Tuck story in the Seasons series

As stated abaove Ellen did write a homoorous story of Tuck being involved in the Thompson's world. But Ellen very clearly stated that it did not belong to the Season's line, but could be and should be looked upon as a paralell story. It was a joint work of Ellen and Tigger. But somehow their co-operation ceased to work, and Ellen requested that what she had written should be removed from all public availible sites. It may still be stored in private computers but cannot be redistributed without any permission from both authors. Ellen later started a new version, but if I remember coorect it ended after four or five chapters (See Ellen's hompage)
There is (or was) a homepage for The Thompson's school for girls (or something like that) that had a list of the different stories in this series. Maybe that can help you. Tigger have however published a kind of final part of the full series, where some of the students meet again and talk about their time in the school.
I hope this might be of some help.

Yes, Ellen withdrew 'Tucky Seasons', but

she has been doing a bit of work on rewriting it for future re-release, though I haven't seem much new for some time. Part 5 is copyrighted 2004, and that is the last one on her site.

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

Actually....

The 24 part 'Tucky season does fit into the season's timeline....
This is copied from Ellen's website, albei a while ago....

Season's FAQ

Tuck Season, Mallard Season, Tuck Season:
a bit of info

11) When does this fit into the storylines of the other Seasons stories?

12) Which lineage of Seasons are you following?

This is after:
Seasons of Change, by Joel Lawrence
Losing Seasons, by Tigger
Darla's story, by Tigger
Kendra's story, (by Tigger) and
Caitlyn's story. In that order. By Tigger. =)

13) Where do I get those other stories?

Try the Nifty Archives (authors Joel Lawrence and Tigger) or
http://www.freespeech.org/tigger/
which is Tigger's site and (I bet) has links to all the ones Tigger
wrote and the others too.

More Seasons Stuff...

First, exploring Aunt Jane at Eastmore is a great idea, and here's one more vote of encouragement for you!
I think that Marie was there also, and she is worth a little exploring.

This site may serve as another reference:
http://www.shadowgard.com/~brooke/seasons/Janehome.html

It includes a bunch of the stories (but not all, you'll have to hunt around to find them all) and some interesting artwork.

Also, Tigger wrote another Seasons story a few months back. It's on FM at: http://www.fmstories.com/stories/dom/TOS-Lora.txt

I put up my site as a sort

I put up my site as a sort of "mirror" of Tiggers (with permission). Brandy Dewinter doesn't give permission (apparently) so I had links to her Season's stories (unless those got broken)
