Hi,
I haven't been active here in a while, too busy with research. But I'm still reading the occasional story, and I'm having trouble downloading these so I can transfer them.
I tried both EpubPress and DotEpub. And, for example, if I take the Printer View of Solitude and Salvation, they each retrieve chapter 1, but drop chapter 2. (each ends at "boy," so they stop shortly before the chapter break symbol.) If I take the Printer View of Faster Than Life, they each retrieve chapter 33, but omit everything before and after.
I used to use GrabMyBooks, and it's still supposed to work in Waterfox Classic. But it may not work in newer versions and it no longer works in Firefox.
Since both download tools fail in the exact same way, I suspect an issue with Printer View. I don't know enough about html to figure out what.
BCTS to Epub
I save the chapters individually from Firefox, postprocess with a perl script (I could put that up for download if anybody is interested), then import these postprocessed HTML files into sigil. It is not perfect, but the workload is quite low and the result looks quite nice on my old Sony PRS-T1.
Not familiar
Not familiar with those download tools. What I do is go to the title page of story (which may be chapter 1), this will include all chapters, or should. I save as HTML using browser controls. From there, I have several options, including Calibre which can turn HTML into ePub. That's pretty simple.
PrinterView is a module in Drupal and is a pain to alter.
My preferred method is different, involved and arcane but suits me. :)

Erin

I take the printer view,
I take the printer view, crack it open in VI, and pull out all of the breaks, especially the continually repeating 'same old' at the beginning and end of each chapter.
I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.
Pull it out into Sigil
That understands HTML and you can do easy search and destroy... uh, replace, to adjust and/or filter what you want the result to look like. The end result is a properly formatted epub.

Cool. I will have to remember this.
Thanks Erin.
WARNING :)
Do NOT do PrinterView of the title page of Bike. Yes, it will work if your computer has enough memory but it might take twenty minutes or more to finish and it puts a load on our servers. :)

I did that once just to test,
I did that once just to test, right after one of your upgrades. Late at night.

Firefox compatible
According to GrabMyBooks web site, it is compatible with Firefox They state, "Browsers extensions (Requires GrabMyBooks Desktop) Firefox Chrome". Firefox claims the same thing on their site.
I've not used either GrabMyBooks, EpubPress or DotEpub, but Firefox is usually pretty good about letting you know if something doesn't work with new editions.

The old GrabMyBooks extension
The old GrabMyBooks extension no longer works on its own, but the GrabMyBooks app works and retrieves the whole book.

I'm lazy
I just open the printer view, select all (control a), copy all (control c) and paste it as a simple text file (control v ) in Wordpad, save it as a text file and then send it to my kindle. I just buzz by the chapter headers in the resulting Kindle document like I would reading them online.
