What is a good frequency to release chapters?
Every week?
Bi-weekly?
I admit I may have gone overboard in bringing out three in three days....but I'm impatient like that.

MY own guidance
is to wait until the first rush of readers has gone. The last few stories reached 1000 readers in 2 to 3 days which felt a good enough trigger to release the next bit; also by then I had had some comments which allowed a bit of tidying up of the next piece.
The size of the chapter also matters. Most of mine are in the 5,000 word area. A story in tiny sections of 1000-1500 words comes across as bitty. Have a look at what you enjoy reading and how soon you want the next piece.
Final comment - if the whole thing comes to a slow and hiccup - ONLY write 'to be continued' if more is already well on the way. If you mean 'I'm not sure where this story is going' this is more truthful and alerts the reader to a possible holdup.
Well done

I don't like serials
I don't like serials, but if the synopsis catches my attention, I will read them. I expect that the author will keep a schedule in posting and find that if it's longer than a week, I lose track of the plot and then have to go back and re-read some of the previous post to catch up on the story line. If they miss too many of their scheduled times, or clearly don't have a schedule, then I'm likely to quit reading the story.
