Bad cache
You have a bad cache in your local browser, most likely. Use the browser controls to empty this. One trick that works with many browsers is to hold down the shift key while you reload the page.

shift - reload and browser cache
I don't know why it happens but I do know when it happened for me.
My computer running windows 7 had no problem and continued to load updated material.
My computer running windows 10 was updated on the 22 of May. it locked up with respect to this site (only) and refused to load anything from the site newer than that date.
Until I saw Erin's comment about shift - reload, it continued to be a problem. shift-reload appears to have cleared it. But it began the day of the windows 10 update.
