Anyone know how to notify Amazon about an e-book that wont work?

I bough a e-book off Amazon and every time I try to use it, it keeps telling me to delete it and re-download it, which I have done several times. I have been searching amazon links and help topis and I can not seem to find where to report this. Does anyone here know? I do not wan to give up on the book and return it, I want to read it.

Note: It is by a BC author and I also sent the author a message.

Thanks for any help,

You Need to Find "Contact Us"

After logging in to your Amazon account, click on "Help" which is generally near the bottom right of most Amazon pages. On the "help" page find "Amazon Devices" and click on that and then click on one of your devices. Once the next page the comes up, click on the "Contact Us" button. The next page will give you options to call, send email or live chat. There are likely many other ways to find a "Contact Us" button, but that is what you want.

I recall that it used to be a lot easier to find how to talk to someone at Amazon.

broken download

This happens to me every now and then when I am downloading a new book to read while out walking and crossing in and out of hotspots. The Kindle app doesn't handle drop outs very well, and I'll assume since you're having the problem too that the Kindle itself runs into the same deal. In order to fix this, you have to completely delete the ebook in question from your Kindle/app... not just from the shelf/quick list that it shows of the things you're currently reading. Then, make sure you you've got a solid/stable connection and try downloading.

If that 'still' doesn't work, you could try downloading the ebook to your home PC and then using a USB cable to transfer it over to your Kindle.

If THAT doesn't work, go to the book's page on Amazon and scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page. You should see a couple contact us options specifically related to the book: one is about the book being a copyright violation, one is about formating or problems specifically with the ebook. That one is probably your best bet to get someone in the right area... but there's also an option for someone in Customer Service there.

Good Luck!

Has happened to me

I ended up using my big machine to DL the book in question over my ISP connection, then transferring to my tablet. The problem was ATT's connection in my area which is adolescent (spotty). You can try going to McDonalds to do the DL, they always seem to have a good connection on their Wifi if the place isn't too busy.

Hugs,
Erin

Thanks everyone.
Finally got a working copy after several attempts using the Download & Transfer via USB method.
