Hi. When I come to this site, or go to another chapter or something after being on the same page for a while, I am redirected to amazon. It is actually two seprate amazon pages. One is the main page as you go to amazon, then right away it goes to another page where there is only a small box at the top of the page that has amazon's tg library in it.

Does anyone know why this is happening and how to stop it?

Thanks
Jessica Marie

Browser problems

Something in your browser is doing the redirect, I suspect. Clear your browser cache, stop the browser and restart it. A possibility is also that you have picked up a piece of pushware, which is a form of intrusive spyware almost like a worm.

If you are using MicroSoft Internet Explorer, you might want to consider switching to either Firefox or Safari since they are slightly less targeted by such things as pushware.

Nothing programmed on the site is responsible for this behavior.

Erin

Just an additional warning.

Just an additional warning. Most of the extortionware that I've been removing from people's machines lately has come through the Adobe Acrobat plugin for _all_ web browsers. Firefox, SeaMonkey, and IE.

There's some bugs in every version but 9 - so you can either upgrade to 9, or do what I've been doing, which is removing the continually bloated Acrobat Reader, and installing FoxIt PDF reader, which is free. (Just watch the installation options and uncheck anything you don't actually want.)

I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.

Safari

Safari has its own PDF reader, too, does not need Acrobat. And BC is designed on Safari with double-checking on Firefox.

Thanks Erin

I did switch to Fire fox. It's going to take some getting used to but thats okay. I've only used fire fox for watching movies and things. It took me over an hour to make the favorites menu like I want it. I have a lot of stuff in it.

Thanks again.

Import/export?

Firefox supports bookmark importing from other browsers. Don't know if you used that - it's quite possible you did and that just fixing up the results of the import took an hour :-( but it's normally a worthwhile thing to start with.
