Am I the only one reading Murphey's Law (Revised)? I have never read the original story, but to me this story has all of the elements that makes a great mystery. I have compared this story to the ones written by Dashiell Hammett and Agatha Christie. This whodunit takes place in the 1960's and is a very good story. Everybody who hasn't read the original should read this one, because Murder She Wrote has nothing over Murphy's Law (Revised). And even the ones who read the original story should read this one again.

Serialized whodunnits

I know - lord knows - that not all serials are finished in good time, and sometimes *ever*.
I just *can't* start a good, involving whodunnit until I check to see that there's a 'The End' at the end.... It'd break my heart.
Discriminatory and shallow of me, but there you are.

if you are the only one reading it. I have the original saved off, can't recall if I ever finished it off the top of my pointy little head, but I am also saving the revision so I can read it when I get time.

Seriously, it's positive feedback that gets me to read a lot of stories and, without that, I might well not give them a second glance.

I tend not to read stories that come in parts.
if I'm going to be reading a story... I want escapism not frustration.
So to reduce my emotional stress... I give chapter series the pass until
a BUNCH have been written.
If Angharad ever stops writing the bike story... I will likely pick it up again.
Small chapters (the kind you can read in 30 minutes or less) also frustrate the bejeezus outta me.
I like my stories to be multi-novel length.

Also, if you think that way
you are missing numerous possibilities of writing treasure right beneath your nose if you don't sample and try out works by authors that are new or you never tried.
