Well, they've done it again! Just been watching several episodes of "Josou paradise", a Japanese show which literally translates as "Like a girl paradise", which seems to be a TV show where they set up on stage in various girl's schools and give boys the full girl makeover treatment. Bloody bonkers...

Anyhow it can be seen here :> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjdPe8kuRxQ&feature=related

Josou paradise

Josou Paradise (女装パラダイス) actually translates as "dressing-as-a-woman paradise", or, more colloquially, "crossdressing paradise". You may be confusing josou (女装)with josei (女性); the latter means "an adult woman, lady, female".

Still, the show has a great concept!

Josou Paradise

I first came across Josou Paradise about 16 months ago on YouTube. I found it quite fascinating and of the six boys who appeared on it the most, my favourite is Kodama Kentarou. Even when he's not dressed as a girl he seems quite girly - and his voice does too!

My favourite episode is where the six boys take part in the "Tokyo Girls Collection" fashion show, which they all seemed to be enjoying immensely! ;)

Unfortunately, the show, of which Josou Paradise was a part; Gakko e Ikou MAX! (Let's Go To School MAX!), was cancelled late last year due to falling viewing figures. :(

Since then, though, Kodama Kentarou has done the same thing again, as can be seen on YouTube here:

Love the subtitles!

A crazy show indeed, but what I loved was the fractured English subtitles. They remind me of the instruction books that used to come with Japanese electrical goods about 20 years ago. Alas, now the translations are in good English and no fun at all!
