I Wish All Parents Could Be Like That
I wish all parents could be like Katie's when it comes to acceptance of their child and making sure of their happiness. I was not at all surprised by the response of the Catholic Church. They have been brain dead on a lot of issues for centuries.
Great fair and objective article
RAMI
The article in the Omaha paper is one of the best, most objective articles on the subject that I have read.
They present a real life story, show both sides of the subject and do not demean the various opinions.
A person can read the story and then decide for themselves if Ben/Katie's parent's are acting correctly or not. They can decide fairly if the church was acting right or wrong, and which set of medical professionals is in the right.

While I am thrilled for Katie, I am equally sad that those of us from an earlier generation missed out on today's more enlightened attitudes concerning transgendered children.
