Super Spectacular Mutant Powers

Today I got sent home early by my boss at work 'cause I'm sick. I had to call in Tuesday night for the same reason. Since it started, I've seemed to run the gamut of symptoms from stomach trouble to sinus problems to lord knows what else. Yesterday wasn't as bad as Tuesday thankfully- I could function well enough to clean my apartment- but today was just weird. I have officially moved into that strange yet somewhat happy spot where my entire body is sore and I'm dizzy for no apparent reason, yet my brain chemistry is wonky enough I feel a bit detached from it all. I don't see how I got here since I haven't taken any medicine, but it's nice none the less. I just wish my eyes would stop feeling like they're gonna burst.

Judging from the order and severity of my symptoms, I think I know what I have now, though. That's right, it's finally happening- I've contracted MORFS.

I'll let you all know later what kind of crazy sexy awesome super powers I get. With how I feel, they better be hellah cool.

Bleh

I mutated years ago... and spent several years trying to convince doctors that "no, it wasn't an error in paperwork." Unfortunately, the extent of my mutation was a change from A+ to A- blood type. To the best of my (albeit limited) medical knowledge, its not possible to actually change Rh factor without imploding or something similarly difficult to live through... yet for the first twenty years of my life, including all those pesky childhood tests and minor injuries and so forth; I was one thing... even my initial physical and med work for military service matched. However, during my service time (during which time I worked as a nuclear engineer); that changed... and my exit paperwork (and all medical paperwork since) indicates the new type. All very strange...

But super powers?

That would be telling....

:)

Not usually

But I do set off metal detectors at the post office even though I purposely avoid wearing anything metal when I have an errand there.

Wow!

You're lucky!
When I MORFed, all I got was a little taller... and it took *years*....

Symptoms

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well, and the symptoms do sound familiar. I am not sure its MORFS though. It almost sounds more like mutation onset, and you need to be careful of burnout. As has been explained, the headache and disassociation is often the signal of the onset in the unused portions of the brain becoming active. Not sure if you are going to wind up in New Hampshire at Whateley, or at Xavier's though.

Maybe

Maybe it's Burke's virus (ala Morpheus)

Or maybe you're going to twist.

Ray Drouillard
(who is already twisted)

Twisted

I also thought of this, but ruled it out based on the current info available. The Twist usually happens very quickly, without the lead in illness. More of a "Bang" and its over. I did forget about Burke's.

Twisted

If I recall correctly, the whole twisted thing started with a disease that pretty much went through the world. It was after that that people started twisting.

Alas, alas, 'twas all for naught

I seem to be mostly over it, and no new powers to speak of. Drat.

I guess I'll continue to have to rely on my natural charisma and uncanny sense of comic timing.

Melanie E.

Did you always have those?

Perhaps "my natural charisma and uncanny sense of comic timing" are your mutant powers.

Code Names

So would my code name be 'Chaplin' or something similar then?

Melanie E.

Are you sure?

Sometimes, it takes a while for the power to show itself.

If you're a bio elemental, you can make lots of people in this community deliriously happy.
