I have the luxury of living in Oregon; a state where an openly gay man was elected mayor of the largest city, and an openly transgender woman was elected mayor of a small Willamette Valley town. Then there's Kate Brown. Openly bisexual and elected governor; not once during that election campaign was that even brought up, by either party. In fact, I was unaware that she was bisexual until well after her term of office was over.
I regularly go out and about expressing my gender identity with my clothes and light make up. I make no pretense of being female, but if folks perceive me as a woman, I don't tell them otherwise...
So for me, Trump executive order or no, it's business as usual.

Unless I am mistaken, Trump has declared transgender doesn't exist. Anyone have his quote on that one I'd love to have it. Pretty sure he said it but can't find it. After claiming we don't exist then he said transgender can't be in the military nor any federal government positions. Hang tuff there's more. We can't be treated medically by any doctor or medical facility. I think he tied that last one in with up to age eighteen. I have contacted the VA to see if it applies to anyone who is using the VA. No response as of now. Hedging my bets on that one and making sure my private physician isn't scared off. Not sure my passport is safe as he is also going after those along with all government IDs.
Now we get where I'm going with this puppy. "IF" I don't exist how is it possible to pass exec orders or laws against me? I'm sure most are as confused about this as I am. Try and think about a solution to society accepting us rather than charging straight into the bulwarks and laws put into place.
Hugs People, put your thinking caps on and look at this intelligently. Fly on his plane, use a computer, cell phone, ride in a car, radar, electronic tracking by the military, or government. All that and more was made possible by someone who changed the whole landscape of micro chips and electronics and she was transgender. He hasn't a clue someone who was trans made almost everything in his life possible.

Received a reply to my question if I'm still a veteran after Trumps exec orders. Learned years back not every VA operates the same so check before one accepts this as the definitive answer. One must be registered as either male or female, no non binary or gender fluid accepted.

The razor-slim majority tilts control to religious ideologues poised to pass a NATIONAL ban on gender-affirming care. They will attempt to pass a National abortion ban despite the Supreme Court ruling that the States have the authority and not the Federal Government to pass restrictions. Alito had alluded to a restriction on persons seeking to travel to states that do not restrict abortion. He also alluded to revisiting the ruling that legalized gay marriage nationwide. I'm 73 and marginally affected by any of this horror. But I am wholly invested in this fight because I have friends here and across the country who face having their lives destroyed. FUCK!
