Ok all try again to be more detailed boy works hard at school to get extra time off over Christmas vacation and goes to visit friends or family in florida starts dressing as a girl think there are two sisters
Works as a elf or a Christmas show can't remember which
Also meets some wealthy boys and there father and at some time gets involved in something illegal and gets on the news as he helps get the bad guys cought when he returns home decides to live as a girl and is sort of popular because of being on the news
Think she becomes a model in the end hope some one remembers if it's on to of here and what title or author is

Found it.
Good story. hard to find anymore. I believe it's "How I spent my summer vacation" by C.Sprite. The site is gone as far as I can tell and the story is not up here or on fictionmania. I used the wayback machine to load up the Crystal's story site and found her page.

This site went up and down for years. When it would come back, it would be an old version missing updates.
On one of my backups, I had every story backed up until the day the site disappeared for years. I wonder who is paying to have it up. It's odd. Thanks for noticing that it is up.
When it had gone down for a long time, they didn't actually have a copy of the site for the last none months to a year it had been up. It had been updated through a mirror site and the owners did not have the content.
