Sorry to bother people during the holidays but just trying to ask for some help.
I was evicted from my apartment recently with no warning. And so I have been living out of a hotel room for a bit while I try to get my property and fight against the landlord that basically violated the Code of Virginia in several ways.
Why do I mention this? I am trying to figure out how much longer I can keep funding a hotel room to keep warm and using up the funds I have on hand (which are almost 0 now). I would like to ask for help via PayPal ([email protected]) to help me get through the weekend and the end of the month. I would do gofundme but it takes too long to get the money from that as the situation is dire.

Extended Stay America
That is the best long term commercial hotel for people who need to stay multiple months. Hotels are much too expensive.
Edit: Current rates in Richmond's Extended Stay is 64 a night I am guessing for a weekly stay. You can arrange a monthly rate with them also. My expectation is a monthly rate would be about 1400 to 1600 a month. Not great, but definitely a lot better than your 100 dollar a night hotel room.

Which is Friday, I will send something. I've got a friend who is being evicted at the end of the year, and I just took in one of my sons who's landlord upped their rent past their ability to pay. This seems to be the season for evictions.

I have been trying to get into the Extended Stay America, but have had issues doing so (with transportation being a major issue). I am actually currently staying in a Hampton Inn (using points I have with Hilton to lessen the cost of the room). But I am going to move to an Extended Stay or Intown Suites when that starts to run out.

I am still needing some help...
I appreciate those that have been able to reach out and help me so far. I am trying to do my best that I can, but I have a $600 payment I need to make by tomorrow to get the rest of my stuff out of my apartment and to my storage unit or else everything gets thrown out on the street according to the property manager.
This is despite the fact that I (and the lawyer I hired) have incontrovertible proof that the Sheriff's Department illegally handed the writ of eviction to the property manager to "give to me" which she never did. Which prevented me from being able to fix anything before they locked me out. As the property manager told the deputy (who gave a sworn statement to my lawyer) that she was planning to evict and lock me out, no matter what and didn't care if I fixed the issue.
As you can probably tell, I am fighting to get the eviction off my record due to this, but I have to still get my belongings out of my old apartment or lose them. That includes all of the stuff my mom and grandma left me that was in there as well as all my clothes, bedding, furniture, etc.
