For the last few days, when I open my browser to Big Closet, the Log-on/Register option is not on the right side near the top. So far I've had to leave the site and log back on several times over an hour or two before the option appears. Am I the only one having this problem or am I missing something?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Login Issues
Erin has set the Site to shut off the login option when we have 200 users or more to keep the server from crashing. This was put in place a few days ago. I had thought that she had announced it. It re-enables the login clicker after the number of users goes below 200. This will be in place until we purchase a new server to handle the traffic influx.

Login issue = PITA
If she announced it, then it was somewhere I didn't see it... The problem is, that when I'm not logged in, I don't get to see the recent comments/recent blog/forum posts on the front page either, and you also have the issue of getting the cahced page that isn't usually the current. I understand why this is, and I applaud erin and bob for coming up with a way to work with the current server, but this REALLY should be a topic that is pointed out for everyone to see, maybe even listed like a story on the front page.

Recent blogs and forums and comments
When there are more than about 190 people on the site, it turns off the side blocks showing recent blogs and forums and comments AND the login box because I use more resources for logged in people than ones not logged in. It's a stopgap until I can get a new more powerful server.
Hugs,
Erin

If you want to cheat
I've had the same problem several times. I found that I could click add comment on the bottom of anything, a story or blog and then it asks if you want to log on, and wahlah, the log on page comes up, Arecee
Yup
That will do it -- but the login button on the bottom of the vote box will give you a page telling you some nonsense about a non-existent page.

a slightly different login problem
every time i ever try to login to my account, i get a message saying "login successful" and an accompanying message saying "access denied". which is interesting, in a catch22 kind of way, but not very helpful.
obviously i can actually login. although if i do i can't ever use the "track" function to follow discussions i've been in previously.
i've tried logging out and logging in again, that doesn't seem to help.
it's not a big irritant. it just seems strange.
not as think as i smart i am
Cache Crunch
You're getting a stale cached page from somewhere. Try to empty your browser cache and if your ISP provides a method of bypassing their cache, use that. The problem isn't really on this end but a slightly stickier new version of the security routines in BC are being grumpy about getting an access from a stale cache.
Normally, this clears up in a few days when the ISP cache expires but since it frequently recurs on the same system, it can get to be maximally annoying. Next month, I'm planning a major site upgrade and maybe the new software won't be so persnickety about these stale page accesses.
Hugs,
Erin

I Found I Could Solve It
By going to FAQ and the Login/Register comes up on the left-hand side on my screen. I hadn't seen any announcement before it first occurred a few days ago,
