Presumably
There hasn't been much in the way of news because there hasn't been news. Weekly story posts have continued, but most of it has been EOF's back catalogue of Comics Retcon stories being reposted in the non-canon section. I'm assuming the pandemic has kind of put a damper on creative efforts at the moment, so there's a dry spell all around (and hopefully it's not the other reason).
Dry Spell
Everyone is hard at work trying to get things written but real life keeps getting in the way of progress. What with the pandemic and whatnot, its not been easy. I know of quite a few of us who have things started, half finished and mostly done. Others of us are still working on various other things too. That's why I lent them my Retcon stories, with them, if needed, they have enough content to hold them over until November. I'm hoping it doesn't come to that though.
I'm working on Inaba 2.
But as it was stated, pandemic, dealing with having the children home, ungodly hot weather, etc. etc. It puts a limit on how much work can get done. If the site were to be shut down (WHICH IT ISN'T) there would be notification on site, and probably here as well. In fact, there are things going on behind the scenes that I can tell you show that there is a clear focus on keeping the Whateley Universe going.
If people are concerned, they can always audition to provide content.
To be honest I'm a frontline
To be honest I'm a frontline worker so a lot of my energy has been just maintaining equilibrium. Scald-Crow 2 part 2 is done and I'm going through the edits, but a lot of my work requires energy. So with a dry spell of low motivation cuz "DEPRESSION" I've been chipping away at it on a daily basis. But yes, I'll be releasing more of it soon and I've already got plans to bring some of my non-Whateley stories to the site as well.
