It's beyond my capabilities, but has anyone written or thought about writing a TG story using DUNE as a basis?

"Jessica, you were told to only bear daughters."

seems like a perfect set up for a TG story.

just a thought.

A.A

ps I'm excited for the new Dune movie.

It would be just like

The Bene Gesserit to mess with Paul Atriedes sexuality if it benefited them and their plans. Given his character forced feminization would seem the most likely course even to the extent of a womb to marry the Harkonnen heir? He could still become a Fremen and fall into a lesbisn relationship. I always thought the worm was just Herbert's extension of a man's penis.

Dune

That could definitely be an interesting story I'd enjoy reading! When I read that story originally, that sentence never stood out to me but could definitely be interpreted into a fun fanfic...

I really like the 1984 movie. It was good, which is where that line comes from. I don't believe that line was phrased that way in the book or the second made for tv remake. (note was not a fan of the remake was way too dark)

as a tg reference or forced tg...eh...depends on your tastes.

i read

all of Herbert's Dune books way, way back in the '80's. I think you'd need to be an exceptional writer to succeed in doing anything that respected the franchise.

Rather than give the lead character a sex change, why not have a parallel storyline with a new character in the Dune galaxy, could be fun and turn the Bene Gesserit upside down!

Nice to hear from you again.

I liked the 1984 Dune, but the books after that just seemed weird and not appealing to me. It just felt like his heart was not in it.

Did you ever finish "Healing a Princess"? I was looking for it but perhaps missed it.

Much peace

Gwen

Go for it. Make your own Dune!

It's only beyond you because you haven't done it yet. You've written some really good stories, and if you love Dune, you're the perfect person for it.

If you start and find yourself needing encouragement, DM me.
