When I logged out just now, instead of going back to main page, went to Access Denied page. Does this happen to anybody else?

Just happened to me also. I am thinking it has something to do with the new/upgraded softwares. All I can do is wait and let Erin amd Bob work their magic and fix it when they can

At least everything still works while you're logged in.

What's happening
The new upgraded software has a small bug. When you logout, the bug attempts to send you to your own user page, which is just stupid. So you get an access denied error, of course.
It's a minor bug so it probably won't be fixed immediately. Just reload the page and it seems to be okay.

RSS

I have found that the RSS link does not work as internet explorer will not access RSS links which require a password, i depend on these links to find out when their is updates.

There's no password required for the rss feed here but you're right, IE does not work. I've no idea why, MicroSoft insisting that internationally agreed on standards don't apply to them, most likely.
