Currently, I am recovering and getting stronger. A nurse comes by once a day to check out the leg. She unwraps the cast ans cleans the leg and then rewraps it. I am currently taking several meds to help with the healing and am going to see a fw other docs about the leg. I am feeling better and I hope to be able to start writing again soon. I have missed coming here daily and reading the stories by my favorite authors. I want to thank everybody for their prayers and well wishes.

Good
I'm glad to hear you're getting better. You tell that leg of yours to heal up nice and quick. Don't let it sass you. :)
Get fully healed soon!

get well
Glad to see you are getting well. I had leg ulcers on both my legs for eight months before my doctor's and health insurance finally decided to use the una boot treatment. I was at home for six weeks to get them healed and now I have to wear compression stockings every day while I am awake to stop them from happening again, Matter of fact I am putting them on now just as I was inputting this. If you need to buy compression stockings after this then buy over the internet they are much cheaper about 50% percent retail. Try Discount surgical stockings for them.

It is a long road ahead but I will finally become who I should be.
Don't overdo it
My friend, just let the leg heal and do what the doctors and nurses tell you needs to be done. We'll be here when you're able to get back here on a more regular basis. So take care of yourself first and worry about us later. Just get well.
take care of yourself

Stan,
Wishing you the best of care, the best of results, and a very speedy recovery!
I'm a firm believer in hope for the best, but keep a trump card up your sleeve, just in case. Obviously, I have no idea what's wrong with your leg, but from your description it sounds pretty serious. There's a therapy I read about which sounds very intriguing. Just in case your doctors run into a problem and run out of ideas, please make sure they read and understand and agree to try this before giving up on saving your leg: New Therapy Based On Old Battlefield Observations [click here]. Click on the "clinical studies" link on that page for some (VERY graphic) pictures of what the therapy can accomplish. It's working miracles, saving limbs in cases that don't respond to antibiotics and would have previously resulted in amputation.
Funny about legs
Stan,
You always were sweet to me. So; here is offering you a "leg up", so that you might "shake a leg".. and uh, run that "leg mile".. I won't offer the theatrical one as it may be inappropriate. Seriously..I wish you well.
