I'm sure I'm boring you all stiff, but I have just completed another ride up the ridgeway, this time on my race bike - something a few days ago, I wouldn't have believed I could do. This bike is higher geared than the others, with only a compact chainset instead of the triple. It goes faster but takes more effort.

Tidy Bike & Cav makes it three in a row

"Tidy," as they say in Cardiff and so is Britain's brilliant young road cyclist, Mark Cavendish who won today's third stage of the Tour of Ireland, after winning both the previous stages. Today's stage was won in spite of falling off in a multiple shunt—easy as falling off a bike, eh? Eat your heart out, Cathy Watts!

Maybe Ang should get him to write tonight's Bikesode?

Nice bike

Hi Angharad,

How could you? Now I'm envy you for that bike! *giggle* Well, to be honest, not really. I already have a nice road bike which I love to ride, a 2006 Felt F55. I can't complain about my compact chainset. It's a Dura Ace 2007 and runs really smooth. Even upwards it's easy to pedal. ( at races I'm usually overtaking the ones who are faster on the flat parts ) Compared to my MTB ( 27 speed XT ) it's much easier to pedal up a hill.

Anyway, have fun with you Ruby. It definitely looks nice to ride

*hugs*
