I know I've been a tad quiet of late, but I've been hard at writing the next part of OHOP... since I've abandoned daily parts I decided to make each new part an entire day in Stevie's life... unfortunately she packs a lot in to her days - I'm 3000 words in and it's not even tea time!
The Who are still playing in the background which is where the title for this post comes. It is of course a line from their song 'I'm a boy' the tale of a boy named Bill (who's a headcase) who is feminised by his mother and three sisters. There's an interesting sleeve note on the song that says it was to be part of a sequence of songs based on a science fiction story Pete Townshend had written. There's definitely food for thought there, had the rest of the project not been abandoned, might 'Tommy' have been 'Bill'. Who knows what Ken Russell would have made of that!

I was wondering about you as I was missing OHOP. I had thought about sending you a PM, but decided that it would be soo obvious that I was just bugging you for the next posting. I guessed that you were still wrapped up in your electronics and new music. It's good that you are writing.
unplugged
It hasn't been all electronics - my friend's been around a couple of times with an acoustic guitar and we've worked on a couple of Who numbers... our version of 'The Seeker' is shaping up nicely. The walls of my flat are paper thin so I've never brought my electric guitars and amplifiers from my parents' home, but Jimbo (he's not a redneck, he's an IT manager) has a ton of kit and compliant neighbours so I may go over to his this weekend to rock things up a bit... he has a proper Marshall stack!!!!!
OHOP has been going well, the next part is well over 4000 words now and I may have to split it.
