According to the records, 'Bike' will be one year old on Wednesday, which all being well should be episode number 349. I'm sixteen or so parts missing- not bad I suppose, considering I do have a life outside writing poor fiction. Of those missing I suspect half a dozen were technical glitches, plus a couple of holidays and a hospital appointment. Remember, I have occasionally done more than one in a day, or we'd be further behind. It's been an interesting challenge, I hope you the readers have enjoyed it as much as I have. I don't however, think I'll be holding a birthday party for it (nor the fact that I transitioned on 14th July some 22 years ago).
I wonder what I'll be blogging this time next year? Surely not part 700+ of Bike!
Angharad.

That's quite some milestone.
And, as you said, not something to be expected.
Perhaps you'll start a serial "As Hard As Climbing on a Bike". :-)
Thanks, and I'm looking for a really nice anniversary episode!

Shouldn't that be "millstone"? ;-)

I really do hope not...
Karen,
I really do hope that Angharad does not consider this episode to be a "millstone" around her neck... If she does, I'd rather she ended it immediately. I'm not THAT selfish. (Almost, perhaps, but not quite that selfish.)

Angharad, I Must Say That ::-)
I thoroughly enjoy reading 'Bike' and your other serials. I adore those picture of the dormice and Bonzi. Heck, you even have a cute fan-fic for 'Bike.' You have kept us in stitches with Cathy and her story and we are loving every minute of it too.

1 Year old
nearly my 1 year old birthday also as i had my op on 23rd July last year and try areading a great story like this and not be able to leave your bed or stuck in hospital
well done for reaching a milestone and i hope it keeps going
Thank You
I would just like to add my thanks for all the many hours of work you have put in writing the ‘bike’ tale. Whilst I appreciate the self-deprecating manner of the phrase 'writing poor fiction’ I should say one thing. I joined a book club three years ago to ensure I read books I would never normally consider. Some of these have been wonderful fiction; some were good writers with a poor story to tell. Alas, others I found to be just bad. There is quite simply more awareness of the human condition, emotion and aspects of love in EAFOAB than many a published author I have read.
Please continue for as long as you enjoy doing so.
Many thanks

Bastille Day
So I guess it's easy to remember your transition date :) A sadder memory for me, as it's the date a friend of mine was killed whilst cycling by a drunk hit and run driver.
Anyway AEAFOAB is a brilliant achievement. It would be even if it was a crap story but it isn't. It's mostly a hoot but occasionally you bowl a googly which almost clean bowls us and then it suddenly becomes a bit serious and insightful. I'm glad I took the effort to catch up on the 20 odd episodes I missed whilst on holiday. Looking forward to episode 700 or even 1000 when I'll have hit a very significant birthday - now that I can wait for.
Thanks a lot, Angharad. Perhaps we'll meet sometime down the road unknowingly and exchange a cyclist's nod :)
