Hi people,

after one of our friends and D&D group members went missing in action, we want to try to revive D&D roleplaying at the Dungeon (just left of the Mainroom ;) ) at fridays.

So, whoever is interested in some fun with friends and some intense gaming sessions should join us in the mainroom or dungeon on Friday at 23:00 GMT. Interesting characters are welcome. After all we we have our own quirks too ;)

If you have any information on the whereabouts or fate of our beloved friend Doc, please PM me, Stardraigh, Rasufelle or Arwen's Tears.

Sounds like fun

I haven't played D&D for a long time, nearly fifteen years, I guess, but I used to have quite a bit of fun.

I also have some experience as a DM/GM running AD&D 1st edition, 2nd edition and 3rd edition games. From what I read on a site that compares the various versions of D&D, 5th edition seems to go back to the core elements of the early editions (up to 3rd).

5th Ed is kind of DnD's "Best Of" Album

It feels a lot more 2nd Ed in terms of actual play, but with a lot of the quality of life improvements of 3rd and even 4th Ed. The Next preview version was EXTREMELY POOR in how it presented it, leading me to put off giving it a shot... but now I have, even Pathfinder pales in terms of openness of play.

--Lower power creep than 3rd Ed/Pathfinder
--Lots of built-in tools for establishing characters rather than just number sets
--Less overall bits n' bobs for players or DMs to have to remember
--FLEXIBILITY

Love it a lot.
