No Luck...
Thought I remembered it but I was thinking of Melanie Brown's "Mis-Spelled" at Sapphire's. The kids there buy the spell book from a dealer, so it's probably not what you're looking for. (Tried about 18 longtime authors here in hopes of finding a likely title. Nothing came up, not even Melanie's, since it's a Sapphire exclusive.)
