I can't remember what the story is called or who wrote it, but it's about a soul who gets transferred across dimensions and put into the body of a living ship. The DNA part of the ship is a combination of dragon and demon DNA.

You are looking for, I can vaguely recall but for the life I can't remember its name.
I remember this story.
Sorry but I'm really bad at names. I remember there was a group of people from 5 different worlds who were plucked away and put to 'school' they each had an avatar that could walk around even outside their ships.
It was a fun read. I look forward to someone finding it... I feel like it might be worth re-reading.
