Do not seem very random. I keep getting the same stories, over and over. They were good the first several times, but I know there are more out there. The reorganization seems to have pigeon holed a lot of stories in limbo, I went through and moved mine into the solo catagory, where they used to be. We have lost a lot of old stories that will never be seen again because of it.
I'm tempted to start with the oldest and go through them to get them right. However, the mechanism for going back in time is very cumbersome, you can only move 4 pages or so at a whack, there is no mechanism to either go through time stamps or number of story stamps. If you are going to use a number system to step back you really need to be able to select a number instead of stepping through them, which can take 30 minutes or longer.
It probably also doesn't help that most people have no clue how to categorize their stories, and many (for selfish reasons) want to mark theirs solo when it is part of a series.
How about a random story button, where it always starts at the first chapter? I would also like to keep the random solos however, they tend to be pushed out by the serials.

I go through the list when I'm not doing anything else (ha!) and mark a few more old solos correctly. Best I can do. How do you find solos? That's why we have a way to mark them. If they aren't marked, they are not marked.

This, "We have lost a lot of old stories that will never be seen again because of it." however is not true. The only stories gone for good are ones unpubbed at the request of the authors. The one story actually lost in the BigToilet was resubmitted by the author.

Do you have a list compiled of solos that needs refreshing though? The repetition is really obvious.
And I have been here long enough I know a lot of the stories, a lot simply are not coming up, probably due to misclassifying.

Not sure what a compiled list of solos would be or how to refresh it. Each time the random solo runs, it seaches the database for solos that are marked then randomly chooses one. The repetition you see is because of various levels of caching. Caching is necessary to make the site run fast enough to be useful.
BTW, are you ambidextrous, too? You made a typo of a kind that I frequently make, typing a k for a d. I also hit l for s, i for e or o for w or vice versa. :)
