Good catch.

Could you please link the article about the lawsuit. I could not find the link when I went to the article page.

It doesn't really say much,
other then a light rehash of the earlier article and the date set for the suit.

You may have missed it because It is a hyperlink hidden within the text so NOT obviously a link.

There are a couple of other related hyperlinks hidden within the text.

Thank you.

I appreciate the links.

And this looks like the doctors did this without the parents permission. That is grounds for criminal charges.

Guevedoches

In The Transit of Venus my main character’s medical condition in part arises from a guevedoche grandfather (disproving in this case at least that such men were infertile).

That is a good point.

Anyone that does some research finds a lot of medical dogma on intersex people, that lead to a lot of pain and suffering for the doctors' intersex victims.

But, the same research pointed out that unless the reproductive organs are removed by doctors, the intersex individuals might still be able to procreate.

For example. Early this year, it was reported that a woman that was intersex was found with a cat scan to have a uterus that was only millimeters in size. After seven years of hormone treatments, her uterus grew to the point she was able to become pregnant, by donated eggs, and she gave birth to healthy twin girls.

Here is the articles: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2933979/I-born-no-wo...

(Ignore the titles, they is misleading.)

This only points that medical dogma on intersex needs to be changed. Where doctors should not have the right to make decisions, that will alter the lives of children. Especially, when it is the doctors discomfort towards the way children are born, that lead to these changed, without the consent of the victims.
