Hello to any and all who read this blog and can give advice or direction. Due to a difficult and contrary ex-wife, my fiancee is unable to have contact with her 3 youngest children. It is going to come to a legal battle in the UK court system and we are both strapped for moneys to be able to consult a custody solicitor. Abby has not been allowed to speak to are contact her children in over 4 months and previous to that only by Skype once a month. She loves her children above all else!! The ex is refusing to allow her to see the children because she wishes to protect them from her lifestyle and perversion.
My question being does anyone know of a TG friendly solicitor who can help us? Eventually I will be able to pay but for now we need someone who will defer or take a small consult fee for an initial visit to lay out our case. I'm desperate to help but I'm currently in the USA and she is in Sheffield. I'm working like crazy to get over to even visit her right now.

UK help urgently needed
I am not in a position to help but urge anyone who can to respond. This is not essentially a TG issue as anyone who is or has someone close who is kept away from their children for no good reason will empathise. I do know that in the UK having transitioned is NOT grounds for being denied access.

Thanks
Thanks for the boost and encouraging others to help us.

Some solicitors
will also give the first hour free and there are others who might do pro bono work. Might be worth contacting TG charities in the UK such as the Gender Trust, and Gires who may be able to offer some advice or names. Unfortunately, the legal advice scheme is now pretty well defunct thanks to the criminals who run the government. Citizens Advice Bureau might also be able to offer advice of where to seek help.
Unfortunately, prejudice is difficult to counter even with the law. I have a five year old grandson, I shall probably never see thanks to my transphobic, dishonest daughter in law.

sorry
Sorry for your difficulty with your grandson, if the truth be known, I'm sure that the love and life experience you could offer your grandson would far outweigh anything your daughter-in-law could ever imagine is negative about you. Thanks for your advice and direction. We will surely look into the groups you mention.
