Of COURSE mother's day counts! Mother's day, and Father's day are probably the most important holidays ^^ It's the one time of the year I really look forward to hopefully someday being able to get a card. I'd love to be a mommy ^^

This is the REAL OFFICIAL arrival of the spring here in Sweden. We gather around huge bofires, listen to the traditional springsongs and the speaches that welcome "...Oh Lovely Month Of May..." and other that we have heard from our childhood (in my case since the late 1940's). The bonfires heat on one side and the chilly evening winds chill on the other side. In some way it is a little hedonistic, but we feel some kind of un-spoken community their, until we have to flee back to our homes and have something to warm us, and recall us to the 21st century.

Round here, ICE picks up everybody that celebrates it and deports them. Then they get to spend the day with their families. By sun-up on the Sixth they've slipped back and are ready to go to work again.
